GIVEAWAY: Win Batman Knightfall Part 1 & 2


Since Bane just made a surprise appearance (don't worry, I won't spoil the details), I thought it would be fun to celebrate the iconic villain's return with a giveaway! One lucky fan will win the "Broken Bat" and "Who Rules the Night" chapters of Knightfall. These two collections feature Bane's back-breaking victory over the Dark Knight, and then his brutal defeat at the hands of a new Caped Crusader.

Want to win? Follow these simple rules.
  • In three sentences or less, post a comment about your favorite Bane scene. It doesn't need to be limited to the comics, it could be one of his animated or live-action appearances.
  • The winner will be randomly selected on Friday (7/13) - I'll reply to their comment, so be sure to check back throughout the day! The winner will have until Monday (7/16) to respond, otherwise another winner will be randomly selected.
  • When posting the comment, please use your full first name and your last name's initial. Don't be greedy and cheat - only enter once.

    I’ll always remember the first Bane vs. Batman scene from The Dark Knight Rises. Because of the Knightfall storyline, I just sat in anticipation and cringed as I waited for Bane to destroy a Batman who has finally met his match. Dark Knight may be my favorite movie, but that scene is one of my favorites.

    To this day, Bane's BTAS debut was pretty good to me. Dude was methodical and very intelligent. I know the show was for kids at the time but I would have love to seen him break Bats.

    I'd have to say ONE of my favorite Bane moments comes from Detective Comics #740. Before Bane beat down Joker, we got to see the best of Joker's lunacy and then Bane just kicking his ass all over the floor was a thrill to read. Just reminds you how much a genuine threat he is to even the craziest.

    The favorite Bane moment that comes to mind for me would have to be when Bane visits Bruce in the pit in TDKR and he has Bruce at his lowest physically and mentally, Bruce basically saying that Bane may as well have killed him, near enough fully submitting to him, truly solidifying him as the true destructive threat of a villain he is, even the way its shot shooting Bane from below with Tom Hardy's menacing eyes is fantastic.

    The favorite Bane moment that comes to mind for me would have to be when Bane visits Bruce in the pit in TDKR and he has Bruce at his lowest physically and mentally, Bruce basically saying that Bane may as well have killed him, near enough fully submitting to him, truly solidifying him as the true destructive threat of a villain he is, even the way its shot shooting Bane from below with Tom Hardy's menacing eyes is fantastic.

    Mine would honestly be the scene from the dark night rises where he says "and we give it back to you... the people" I've always really liked that scene

    Bane's appearance in No Man's Land was always my favorite (due to the story itself being one of my all time favs). Being hired by Luthor to enter NML on his behalf (with other motives as well)... Lex's payment being Bane receives his own private country always instilled to me the true power Bane that had...do this job for me, here's your own country....

    I don't know if this counts but my favorite appearance was in the Arkham Asylum video game. I enjoyed seeing the story revealing the involvement of Venom being used to create TITAN. I liked the references to Batman and Bane's history with each other in the video game.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War - The End of an Era

Seven years ago, the DC New 52 Animated Movie Universe was born. I remember it well because I was lucky enough to attend the world premiere of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox  at Comic-Con International 2013.
